A great opportunity for a New Product Development Technician to work with a Life Sciences company focusing in Cosmetics in the West of Ireland. The New Product Development Scientist will work closely with the Lead Chemist to develop new products and to support customers with their analytical services. The New Product Development Scientist will have a chemistry background and previous laboratory experience. Being from a cosmetics background will be a bonus.
Overview of your responsibilities (full job description available on request)
- Support Senior Cosmetic Chemist in scaling formulations for production.
- Collaborate with marketing for consumer-driven product ideas.
- Ensure regulatory compliance for global cosmetic standards.
- Develop technical documents: specs, procedures, safety assessments.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required for the Role:
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or a related field.
- 1-3 years of laboratory experience.
- Basic comprehension of cosmetic ingredients.
- Preferred experience in product development, formulation, and optimization.
- Proficiency in managing relationships with clients and suppliers.
- Familiarity with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Strong organizational skills.
- Effective communication abilities.
- Detail-oriented approach to work.
