Warehouse Operators - Multiple Opportunities

Our client, a globalorganisation based 10 minutes on the Northside of Cork City are going through a major expansion at the moment and are looking to hire multiple Warehouse Operators. These are 11-month contracts initially with scope for permanency and progression throughout the business. 3 shift patterns available (outlined below).

Job Overview:

You will work as part of a team to move freight, stock and other materials within the warehouse and production area. This role also supports other supply chain functions and operations to ensure efficient production flow and product delivery.


Shifts Times & Rates:

  • Days (Monday - Thursday): 6.00am > 4.15pm €15.00 p/h

  • Evenings (Monday - Thursday): 4.30pm > 2.45pm €17.40 p/h

  • Weekends (Friday - Sunday): 6.00am > 6.00pm (with possible rotation) €18.75 p/h (possible shift premium with rotation = €19.95 p/h)

Overview of Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that requested items are directed to the appropriate area

  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of warehouse, production areas and all equipment

  • Maintain production records such as document production quantities, dimensions and sign off on tasks

  • Consciously inspect work product to ensure no defects or faulty work is passed to next phase of production

  • Assist in final inspection of product as required

  • Follow work schedules in an efficient manner ensuring production information is recorded and communicated

  • Proficient in the use of required machinery/equipment

  • Have a good working knowledge of the Cycle Count Process

  • Supports the Supply Chain Function and other Warehouse and Operations personnel.

What the ideal candidate looks like:

  • Fluency in English

  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and time management skills

  • Ability to understand SOPs/work instructions in English

  • Enthusiastic, team player and effective communicator

  • Demonstrated ability to manage assignments with minimal direction and to completion

  • Must have knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and related software applications; familiarity with ERP systems and manufacturing processes

  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain one is preferred

  • Ability to operate material handling equipment necessary to perform the job
