We have an exciting Test Engineer role within a fast-paced and high-impact R&D Department with our client, a leading indigenous electronics company based in Shannon. This is a full-time, permanent position and is based fully on-site in Shannon.
As a member of the Test Engineering team, the Test Engineer will play a pivotal role in crafting, constructing, and maintaining Test Equipment vital for both new and established production lines. Drawing upon their proficiency in electronics and NI LabVIEW, they will spearhead the development of Test equipment, guaranteeing the optimal performance of our client's products in real-world scenarios.
Key Responsibilities
Crafting, building, and assembling Test Equipment tailored for the functionality of both emerging and established Fire and Gas detection products.
Devising and refining LabVIEW programs to ensure thorough testing procedures for both new introductions and existing Fire and Gas detection products.
Overseeing Project Management initiatives to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
Fostering collaborative relationships across departments to synchronize product design and testing prerequisites effectively.
Providing expertise in diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues for automated high-volume manufacturing test equipment.
Thorough documentation of circuit designs, programs, and procedural frameworks to maintain comprehensive records
Key Requirements
Bachelor's degree or higher in Electronic Engineering.
Accredited LabVIEW CLD Certification (CLA certification is advantageous).
Demonstrated 3-5 years of experience within a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in digital and analog electronics, backed by hands-on experience.
Familiarity with In-Circuit Test Equipment is beneficial.
Knowledge and experience in RF technology is advantageous.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
Exhibiting a strong work ethic, coupled with a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
Demonstrating flexibility, adaptability, and a positive outlook.
Capable of functioning autonomously or collaboratively within a team setting.
Proven track record in problem-solving.
Ability to thrive under pressure and adhere to predefined delivery timelines
