Tax Manager

Role Overview:

An opportunity to become an integral part of our senior team and support our Partner in the provision of tax planning advice. This is a great opportunity for an ambitious and experienced tax professional keen to specialise in tax advisory work. This is a fully advisory role. This is a role where you will be expected to support the existing client base and help generate new tax planning and advice opportunities and attract new business to the firm. The role will give the successful candidate a great opportunity to grow professionally and personally in an exciting and dynamic business across all tax levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consultancy assignments across all tax heads.

  • Preparation of consultancy assignment reports.

  • Liaising with clients and advising on all relevant tax issue.

  • Assisting with specific consultancy assignments in all areas of tax, including Income Tax, Corporation Tax, CGT, CAT, and VAT.

  • Manage a portfolio of personal and corporate tax compliance.

  • Training, mentoring, and reviewing the work of trainees, semi-seniors, and seniors.

  • Managing Partners expectations.

  • Liaising with Revenue and other professionals where required

  • Working within the tax team to deliver a quality solution-driven tax advisory service.

  • Travel required to Partners within your geographical area.

Key Requirments:

  • CTA Qualified with minimum 3 years PQE.

  • Excellent technical expertise with a strong solution orientated focus.

  • Ideally, experienced at manager level.

  • Good commercial awareness.

  • Comfortable with developing and managing client relationships.

  • Ability to deal with multiple client issues with competing priorities at the same time.

  • Excellent communication (written/verbal) and report writing skills.

  • Ability to work well as part of a team and manage own tasks.

  • Commitment to work to meet client deadlines and desire to do a great job on a daily basis.

  • Willingness to travel to support the local office network.
