Supply Chain Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to join a global manufacturer based in Ovens, Cork. This is a senior role and will be responsible for end-to-end supply chain planning, ensuring the flow of materials, products, and information from suppliers to customers. The role balances demand forecasting, production scheduling, order management, inventory optimisation, and cross-functional coordination.
This is a customer-facing role and will require occasional onsite visits. Leading and developing the team will also be a key part to the role, driving performance, mentoring and coaching the team to meet both operational and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead, coach, and develop the planning and customer service teams, providing performance reporting and insights to senior leadership.
  • Develop and execute manufacturing plans to ensure product availability while optimising inventory and costs.
  • Manage customer order processing, communications, and relationships to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Lead demand planning and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP/IBP) to align demand, supply, and business objectives.
  • Monitor and improve OTIF performance, lead times, inventory levels, and intercompany product flows.
  • Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing, logistics, sales, marketing, and finance to resolve supply and capacity challenges.
  • Identify supply risks, implement mitigation strategies, and support the onboarding of new business.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and advanced planning tools while developing technical and commercial knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Qualification in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business or related field.
  • 5-10 years’ experience in supply chain planning, demand planning, or operations.
  • Experience in manufacturing is preferred.
  • Professional certifications desirable: Lean Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt).
  • Well-developed leadership skills, capable of leading a team positively and promoting team building.
  • Highly developed sense of ownership, takes responsibility for deliverables in the supply chain/planning/customer service area.
  • Customer service focused with experience of representing the company to the customer.
  • Hands-on and focused on continuous improvements.
