An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Purchasing & Supply Chain Manager to join a well-established and growing manufacturing business based in North Dublin.

Reporting into the Operations leadership team, you will be responsible for leading the purchasing, procurement and supply chain functions, ensuring continuity of supply while driving improvements across forecasting, inventory management and supplier performance.

This is a strategic leadership role offering the opportunity to influence business performance, lead process improvements and work collaboratively across operations, sales, finance and warehouse teams to support continued growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement purchasing and supply chain strategies to support business objectives.
  • Lead and develop the purchasing and supply chain team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
  • Manage demand planning, forecasting and inventory optimisation to balance customer service levels with working capital.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, monitoring supplier performance and identifying opportunities for cost savings and service improvements.
  • Lead purchasing activities including replenishment planning, supplier scheduling and inbound supply management.
  • Drive improvements in Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes and support the implementation of planning and inventory management systems.
  • Monitor key supply chain KPIs, using data and analysis to improve operational performance and decision-making.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to improve OTIF performance, manage stock levels and support new product introductions.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen supply chain resilience and minimise supply risk.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior Purchasing, Procurement or Supply Chain Management role within a manufacturing, engineering or distribution environment.
  • Proven experience in strategic purchasing, supplier relationship management, demand planning and inventory management.
  • Strong understanding of forecasting, S&OP and supply chain planning principles.
  • Experience using ERP systems and demand planning or inventory optimisation software.
  • Excellent analytical, commercial and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • A proactive, results-driven approach with experience leading change and delivering continuous improvement initiatives.
