The Role:
Based in Co. Meath with a manufacturing company who's primary focus is based within sustainability, the Production Planner will report into the Supply Chain Manager and join an existing team of 40 people. With the company set to open a second production line this year, this is an excellent time to join them as they go from strength to strength.
Key Responsibilities:
Receiving & controlling information on shipments (Trailers - Incoming & Outgoing) from Suppliers, Customers, Transport Companies and logging these onto our ERP system & updating associated spreadsheets.
Ensuring all documentation is present & correct for Export deliveries to UK & submitting this to our Customs Agent.
Working in conjunction with our transport providers to ensure deliveries arrive & leave site on time each day.
Manage the email inbox and assign, escalate & file emails in timely manner.
Responding to changes in delivery plan and communicating these promptly and to all impacted stakeholders
Liaising with courier companies for shipments of pallets & small packages
Raise Purchase Orders for confirmed orders and ensure approvals are sought in a timely manner
Liaise with Warehouse Personnel to ensure they are updated on changes to delivery plans and priorities for that day
Provide administrative support to the Supply Chain Manager and Executive to ensure that all movements are materials move efficiently and as per the communicated plan
Requirements:
3rd Level qualification is an advantage but not essential
Previous experience working for a Transportation or Distribution company is a distinct advantage
Experienced with ERP systems
Knowledge and understanding of Supply Chain concepts and application
Strong analytical, planning and organizational skills
Strong interpersonal and communications skills (oral & written)
Self-starter with ability to work independently under pressure and react quickly to changing priorities
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
