As a Structural Engineer you will typically be responsible for designing the structural elements of buildings and ensuring they are safe, compliant and economical to construct.
Typical responsibilities include:
- Structural design of steel, concrete, masonry and timber buildings.
- Carrying out structural calculations and preparing engineering reports.
- Designing foundations, beams, columns, retaining walls and other structural elements.
- Producing structural drawings and specifications.
- Working closely with architects to ensure structural and architectural designs integrate effectively.
- Liaising with clients, contractors and local authorities.
- Conducting site inspections during construction.
- Ensuring projects comply with Irish Building Regulations, Eurocodes and BCAR requirements.
- Supporting projects from concept design through planning, tender and construction.

Experience required:
- Degree in Structural Engineering.
- The suitably Structural Engineer should have at least 5+ years’ experience working within a consultancy.
- Experience using structural analysis software (e.g. Tekla Structural Designer, MasterSeries, Robot or similar).
- AutoCAD and ideally Revit knowledge.
- Familiarity with Irish Building Regulations and Eurocodes.
- Good communication and project coordination skills.
- Driving Licence and own car is essential
- Must be currently in Ireland, eligible to work and take up a full-time position in the coming weeks.
