Our client a Global Manufacturer for the Construction industry is seeking the talents of a Stores Administrator to join their expanding team in Carrickmacross (very close to Kingscourt/Cavan area). This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious administrator, to develop their skills within a global company.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Management of the receipting process of goods in and out of stores

  • Check incoming materials and parts to stores, ensuring no visible damage on delivery before items are received in

  • Ensure that all goods received are counted accurately and crossed checked against delivery paperwork

  • Promptly escalate any issues to Stores Supervisor (including paperwork anomalies or damage to goods) to ensure that issues are dealt and possible delays are flagged in a timely manner

  • Receipt goods accurately and promptly to TMS system

  • Take control of the spares orders process - ensuring all spares leaving the site are in good condition and are accurate to order (labelled correctly to each part, securely packaged and wrapped) and all related paperwork is given to the Stores Supervisor

  • Assisting the Stores Supervisor to implement continuous improvement initiatives

  • Prompt and accurate control of paperwork

  • Escalation of key issues to Stores Supervisor

  • Implementation and development of Standard Work procedures

  • General Housekeeping Duties

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent communication, planning and organisational skills

  • Proven experience in a demanding admin role preferably from within manufacturing industry

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • Flexibility and ability to work in an environment that is fluid with constantly changing priorities

  • Ability to learn quickly, use your initiative and work as part of a team

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail is essential for success in this role

  • A logical and methodical approach to problem solving along with the ability to complete tasks in a timely manner to meet targets

  • Self-motivation and initiative

  • IT literacy and experience of MRP style system
