We have a new opening for a Software Engineer-(Remote) with our Global client based in Dublin. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with one of Ireland's leading IT Consultant companies.

Overview of the Role:

Software Engineer will join the IT team and help bring new products, new technologies, and new ways of thinking to an industry ripe for innovation and in need of a new consumer-oriented way of thinking.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and suggest new ideas and features to the team to further improve our products.

  • Discuss technical solutions with your colleagues and the architecture team where necessary.

  • Track progress while keeping a fully working product at all times.

  • Together with the other developers in your team, you’ll implement the new functionalities with a passion for quality. You’ll then review the code changes from your peers before they go into the mainline in Git.

  • Interact closely with the QA engineers to make sure you write the necessary tests and they

  • can give you feedback early in the process.

  • Report on your progress by updating the status of the Jira issues.

  • Demo fully finished parts to your team, and demo your work to the entire development and product teams (and an extent, the entire company) every month.

Ideal Attributes:

  • Have a passion for quality, good design, and clean code

  • Comfortable developing in multiple languages (Java, Python, etc)

  • Comfortable working in multiple public cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP)

  • Knowledge and working experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Microservice Architecture, APIs[1] 

  • ReactJS and frontend tools are a bonus!

  • Strong RDBS experience required, all additional database technologies (graph, big data stacks, etc...) are a great advantage!

  • Experience contributing to large codebases

  • Familiar with TDD or BDD development as well as CI and CD

  • Passionate about creating and finishing new things

  • Loves challenges and problem solving and have no fear for the unknown

  • Agile-minded and have a positive mindset

  • Disciplined, flexible and independent, and willing to learn and improve

  • You enjoy engaging with the wider technical community
