Job Title: Site Engineer

Location: Huntstown, Co. Dublin

We have an excellent opportunity for a Site Engineer to join our client on a large-scale data centre project in Huntstown, Co. Dublin.

Our client is a leading provider of precast concrete structural solutions, delivering high-quality precast elements for major construction and infrastructure projects across Ireland. They are seeking a motivated Site Engineer to support the installation and coordination of precast components on site.

This role will involve supervising installation works, managing subcontractors, coordinating deliveries, and maintaining site documentation. The successful candidate will work closely with the main installation contractor to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient installation of precast stair cores and lift cores.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Carry out setting-out and verticality checks for precast stair cores and lift cores using total station equipment.
  • Supervise and coordinate precast installation activities on site, ensuring works are completed in line with drawings and project specifications.
  • Liaise with crane operators and installation teams during lifting and placement operations.
  • Manage and coordinate deliveries of precast elements, ensuring materials arrive in line with the installation programme.
  • Organise the safe unloading and positioning of precast components on site.
  • Monitor installation progress and communicate updates to the project team.
  • Ensure installed elements meet required levels, alignment, and tolerance standards.
  • Maintain accurate site records, reports, and installation documentation.
  • Attend site coordination meetings and liaise with the main contractor and project stakeholders.
  • Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with site health and safety procedures.

Main requirements:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working as a Site Engineer or in a similar site-based engineering role.
  • Experience using total station equipment for setting out.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to coordinate site activities effectively.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills when working with site teams and contractors.
