Our client, a leading global healthcare company, is recruiting a Shipping Coordinator in Cavan on an initial six-month contract.
Responsibilities of a Shipping Coordinator:
- Prepare finished goods shipping related documents using the computerized systems as appropriate.
- Work with the external warehouse, shipping companies, revenue and site logistics on all shipping related issues.
- Manage the daily Finished Goods shipping loading schedule.
- Maintain all shipping and related records for internal, billing and customs use.
- Utilise all Shipping Documentation software accurately and efficiently.
- Support projects and changes relating to Shipping Documentation systems upgrades.
- Provide general support to warehouse manager and the wider Materials department as required.
- Ensure product availability is maintained and ensure customer backorders are minimized through maintaining a high performing site shipping function.
- Work with Customs to maintain the status of Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) and Known Consignor (if required).
- Foster a culture of environmental and safety awareness with a key focus on Behavioural Based Safety along with maintaining GMP requirements.
Education & Experience:
- Relevant third-level qualification in Supply Chain, Engineering or Business is preferred.
- Experienced in a regulated environment is preferred for this role.
- Experience using Customs and Excise software Thyme IT.
- Ability to maintain close liaison and co-operation with all other departments, affiliates and personnel in order to optimize the plant’s operations.
- Ability to optimize the use of human resources by encouraging an atmosphere of involvement, open communication and effective teamwork.
