Our client is currently hiring a Field Service Engineer to install, maintain, and repair glass-lined process equipment for customers in the chemical and pharmaceutical sectors. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role with regular travel across Ireland, the UK, and Europe.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, assemble, test, and commission equipment
- Perform inspections, maintenance, overhauls, and fault-finding
- Carry out Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) and equipment upgrades
- Prepare service reports, risk assessments, and documentation
- Support customers with service, spares, and technical issues
- Build strong customer relationships and support service sales
- Coordinate with internal teams on projects and schedules
- Delivering customer training when required
Requirements
- Qualified Mechanical Fitter (or similar)
- Experience with mechanical seals, gearboxes, agitators, and drives
- Strong troubleshooting and independent working ability
- Good communication and customer-facing skills
- Full driver’s license and willingness to travel
Desirable:
- Experience in the chemical or pharmaceutical industries
