We are partnering with a leading multinational medical device manufacturer who are looking to hire a Senior Sourcing Specialist for their team. This is a permanent position with hybrid working options that will be based out of their Cork site. As Sourcing Specialist, you lead a Category team of 3, help define strategy and work closely with senior management. Great progression opportunities for the right person. Overview of Main Responsibilities (full job description available on request):
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies in key sourcing categories that results in a sustainable competitive advantage.
- Sourcing Specialist analyses data and develops tools to manage the Category, including should-cost models, COGS models, etc.
- Identifies all suitable suppliers per Category and region and develops comprehensive supplier knowledge & database.
- Identifies risks within the Category and works closely with stakeholders to eliminate or take mitigating action.
- Manages supplier performance and relationships and identifies Value Improvement Program's.
- Establishes early involvement to achieve development performance goals, support project timelines, and manage product cost.
- Responsible for annual budget process for assigned suppliers.
What the ideal candidate looks like:
- Level 8 Degree and manufacturing experience.
- Experience with acquisition integration and chemicals preferred.
- Medical Device Experience is preferred.
