We are partnering with a leading medical device manufacturer in Mayo to support with hiring an experienced Senior R&D Engineer.
This role will focus on introducing new materials, processes and technologies, while supporting existing product platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide technical support across product development and manufacturing teams.
• Lead or support projects involving new materials, coatings and process improvements.
• Prepare technical documentation in line with regulatory and design control requirements.
• Develop test protocols, coordinate builds and analyse results.
• Represent R&D on cross-functional teams through product commercialisation.
Requirements:
• 5+ years’ experience in R&D, Process Development or a similar technical role.
• Strong knowledge of materials science, coatings or surface technologies.
• Experience with hydrophilic coatings would be an advantage.
• Knowledge of medical device design controls and regulated environments.
• Strong problem-solving, project management and communication skills.
Qualifications:
• Degree in Materials Science, Polymer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering or related discipline.
