A new opportunity has arisen with one of our global multi-national medical device clients. They are looking to hire a Senior Process Development Engineer to join their team. This is an initial 12 month contract but they have been known for offering contract extension or permanent contracts in the past.
This role will offer you the chance to critically about healthcare device manufacturability problems on both mechanical and electronic devices and give you opportunities to advance process technology development.
Responsibilities:
You will actively participate in all areas of new product development including the following: Process design, Technology development & advancement, Automation, Vendor, Sub Tier supplier management & Project management.
Research technology solutions and collaborate with team members on Design, Reliability & Manufacturability methodology (DRM), utilise 3-D drawing/printing and Augmented Reality to develop our best solutions that will allow us manufacture devices that will positively impact the healthcare of millions.
Collaborate with cross functional teams to define, execute and deliver on New Product Development requirements.
Take initiative & lead a team to innovate and develop best in class process technology with emphasis on improving quality, reducing variation and developing state of the art automated and semi-automated systems.
Lead and support the process development, characterisation, and validation activities to support new product introduction.
Identify and carry out practical actions to solve technical problems using your new and existing skills in project management, six sigma tools, process characterisation and technology development.
Collaborate, document, and present all learnings to project and functional teams.
Key Skills & Experience:
Third Level 8 Degree or higher in Electronic, Electrical, Mechanical, Biomedical Engineering, Science, or related discipline.
Ability to collaborate effectively within a talented team and can work effectively and proactively on cross-functional teams.
Good understanding of product and process design.
Proficient oral and written communication skills and ability to develop warm cross functional relationships.
Good organizational, presentation and project management skills.
