An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Process Engineer to join a leading global medical device multinational on an 18-month contract. This role focuses on supporting and advancing manufacturing engineering activities, driving innovation, and optimising processes to deliver high-quality products and improved operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties as assigned:
- Recommend and implement equipment and process improvements to enhance quality, efficiency, and production yields
- Integrate equipment and material capabilities to meet process and technology specifications
- Collaborate with product design and development teams to ensure compatibility with manufacturing processes
- Review product development requirements to determine feasibility, cost, and timelines
- Lead the development, innovation, and optimisation of manufacturing processes and concepts for transfer to operations
- Conduct feasibility studies, including material selection, process development, and equipment/tooling specification and installation
- Develop and apply statistical process control methodologies and measurement systems
- Perform data analysis and recommend process improvements based on findings
- Ensure all processes comply with relevant regulatory and quality standards
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent international qualification)
- Typically 4+ years’ medical device experience, or 2+ years with an advanced degree
- Strong technical expertise combining practical and theoretical knowledge
- Experience in project management and cross-functional collaboration is advantageous
