Senior Full Stack Developer

They are on the lookout for an experienced Full Stack Developer to join their development team and play a fundamental role in the next phase of the company's growth. The Ideal Candidate

Will be an experienced full-stack developer who has experience working in an agile environment. You should have 5+ years of relevant experience in software programming or development. You will also have extensive experience with Java, SQL and any other programming languages will be a plus.


Key Responsibilities

  • Working closely with peer Developers and QA team members to ensure that user stories are delivered as a team
  • Work with technical team leads to design overall application architecture and align with the future direction, and implement those changes to enable secure, scalable, and maintainable software
  • Support the implementation of our CI/CD
  • Scope the requirements, propose appropriate solutions/plans, and help to establish associated tasks and projects necessary to drive those efforts
  • Drive development across frontend and backend components
  • Work with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions
  • Collaborate across disciplines to find technical solutions to complex challenges
  • Provide technical leadership in the analysis and review of proposed system features and integration, security, scalability, and performance requirements with users and team members
  • You will be involved in the development of methodologies, design, testing automation, best practices, and procedures
  • Provide coaching / technical mentoring/direction to other members of the team
  • Conduct design and code reviews to ensure that developed code meets software engineering best practices and guidelines, unit testing, security, and scalability and maintainability guidelines 

Key Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or similar experience
  • 5+ years’ software development or programming experience
  • Extensive experience with Java, SQL, and any other programming languages
  • An in-depth understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and Javascript
  • Experience with agile software development within an agile environment
  • Experience with Unit Testing would be advantageous
  • Experience with API development would be advantageous
  • Ability to analyse and break down complex technical specifications
  • Ability to design and create complex databases

Note: this role can be worked remotely however there may be a requirement to attend the office in Cork monthly or quarterly.
