Senior EHS Specialist

Excellent opportunity for a Senior EHS Specialist to join a leading Biologics company in the North East of Ireland. As the Senior Environmental Health and Safety Specialist, your responsibility includes offering technical support on environmental, occupational safety, ergonomic issues, and other pertinent environmental, health, and safety matters.

Overview of your responsibilities (full job description available on request)

  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and internal policies.

  • Coordinate environmental controls to meet IPC license requirements.

  • Maintain records and generate reports efficiently.

  • Liaise with external EHS Agencies such as the EPA for compliance.

  • Manage site environmental waste and drive continuous improvements.

  • Comply with Battery, WEEE, and Waste Packaging Directives for Europe.

  • Conduct risk assessments and implement control measures.

  • Update EHS control procedures as needed.

  • Develop and deliver EHS training programs.

  • Coordinate personal protective and monitoring equipment.

  • Organize meetings and provide information and training.

  • Coordinate occupational health surveillance programs.

  • Conduct accident investigations and produce reports.

  • Adhere to GMP requirements, SOPs, and controlled documents.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required for the Role:

  • Degree in Science, Engineering, and/or Health & Safety is a prerequisite.

  • Postgraduate qualification in Health & Safety is the minimum requirement.

  • 8+ years of industry experience, preferably in pharmaceutical/biological settings,

  • Demonstrated experience in managing EHS Teams

  • Proficient in leading Root Cause investigations.

  • 3-4 years in an Occupational Health and Safety role within manufacturing.
