Scrum Master

About the Role:

Our client is an established multinational medical device manufacturing company and they are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to support and deliver strategic initiatives led by the Global Manufacturing Applications team within the Global IT Operations organization. In this role, the individual will be a Scrum Master for Product Team(s) aligned to supporting process capabilities that enable global manufacturing operations. Key capabilities include MES, TRS, RMI, and BMRAM. The individual in this role will play have an impactful role across a number of existing programs. This individual should have demonstrated prior experience leading an Agile Scrum team and be highly motivated with excellent analysis, planning, budgeting, and execution skills. In this position, collaboration with globally dispersed business partners and cross-functional team members is a key skill. 

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead Product Teams operating in DevOps model to deliver IT solutions

  • Ensure Agile/Scrum concepts and principles are adhered to by the product team and be able to be a voice of reason and authority; Focus on Minimal Viable Product (MVP) and iterative, incremental delivery

  • Proactively manage Project Budgets and ensure financial processes are adhered to  

  • Work with senior leadership to define scope and business case to support implementation goals

  • Be transparent with business partners about status and develop business trust

  • Help teams assess and address their ‘Agile Maturity’ and higher levels of maturity and Institute team working agreements to set the standard for ‘team operation’

Basic Skills & Experience

  • Bachelors’ degree 

  • 5+ years experience in Information Technology projects

  • Demonstrated experience planning and executing testing of complex applications

  • Demonstrated success working in a highly collaborative, matrix environment, with a track record of accomplishments with measurable business impact

  • Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build successful relationships

  • Proven aptitude to learn quickly and improve processes


Desired Skills & Experience

  • Medical Device or Regulated Industry experience 

  • Manufacturing experience 

  • SCRUM certification

  • PMP certification 

  • Experience with Agile tools (JIRA) but would be open to other tools

  • Experience coaching, and coordinating efforts with, multiple teams, Agile coaches and SCRUM masters within a matrixed organization
