A well-established leading Irish Chemical manufacturer is currently looking for an experienced Sales Manager to join their team based in Cork. The Sales Manager will provide a coaching and mentorship role to the existing sales team, driving sales growth through effective management, continuous learning, and development. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated people manager to work with an enthusiastic sales team across the Dairy, Food, Brewing, Engineering, and Pharma sectors. Hybrid options available (1 – 2 days in office).
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the sales team with the company’s sales goals, implementing sales strategies and plans to meet or exceed targets.
- Provide daily coaching, mentorship, and training, focusing on continuous learning and tailored development plans.
- Conduct performance reviews, set clear goals, and address team strengths and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with management to develop long-term strategies, using market analysis for growth opportunities.
- Coach on building strong customer relationships, track CRM activity, and address customer concerns with continuous improvement.
- Monitor sales metrics, prepare reports for senior management, and implement corrective actions when needed.
- Foster a collaborative team culture and coordinate cross-functional initiatives with other departments.
Requirements:
- Level 8 or 9 Science, Chemical or Food Science qualification is an advantage but not strictly necessary.
- Previous Sales Manager experience with a coaching/people management background.
- Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Strong leadership abilities with a focus on coaching, mentoring, and developing a high-performing sales team.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strategic thinker with analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Proficiency in CRM software and sales management tools.
- Motivated self-starter with a passion for sales and achieving results.
- Adaptability and flexibility to adjust strategies based on changing market conditions.
- Full clean Drivers License is required.
