Sales Director

We have a very exciting opportunity for a Sales Director to permanently join a multinational electronics manufacturing organisation looking to set up operations in the Cork area. With over 2000 staff in Asia, as well as multiple other sites in other locations, the company is set to establish headquarters in Cork for Europe and the US with Sales, Business Development and Supply chain operations, aiming to expand further into the European and US Market. The client specialises in manufacturing electronics products for telecommunications , automobile, industrial and medical industries. This position would be initially fully remote, then working 1 to 2 days in the office or shared work space.

As part of this role, the Sales Director will report to the CEO of Overseas Business (outside China). This is a huge opportunity to be the first hire in Ireland for experienced sales/business development professionals who are looking to build international relationships in Europe and US Market.

Overview of Main Responsibilities (full job description available on request):

1.Leads development:

  • Develop new customers with PCBA demands;

  • Find contacts and connections of new customers;

  • Build up the organisation chart of the customers;

  • Design and execute the sales strategies;

2.Opportunities development:

  • Discover and develop sales opportunities of new and existing customers;

  • Organise onsite visits to our global production sites and headquarters;

  • Estimate the revenue of the opportunities;

  • Manage the existing opportunities and make a development plan;

  • Analyse the existing competitors of the opportunities;

3.Quotation

  • Collect the EAU, drawings and BOM of the quotations;

  • Communicate with the internal sourcing and engineering team about the cost

  • Design and quoting strategy and deliver the quotations to customers

  • Negotiate on the cost and other business terms with customers;

4.Sampling and Mass Production project tracking

  • Coordinate the internal resources on the sampling process;

  • Check the customer feedback on the project progress;

  • Get the mass production orders

5.Sales Management

  • Review the leads and opportunities funnel

  • Review the progress of the tasks on leads and opportunities development

  • Review the profit and revenue changes

  • Establish and track sales target

What the ideal Sales Director looks like:

  • Bachelor or higher degree

  • 5+ years of sales /business development or marketing experience in the Electronics Manufacturing industry or semiconductor industry
