Do you have experience in the rework, modification and repair of electrical assemblies? If the answer is yes, then there is an amazing opportunity to join our clients team as a Rework Post Wave Operator. Our client is a designer and manufacturer of high reliability electronic motor control solutions. They are certified to the Aerospace Standard AS/EN9100 for manufacturing, design and aftermarket services.
About the role
This is a fixed term contract of 12 months, however there is the possibility of extension and permanency at the end of the 12 months. The role reports to the PCB Production Supervisor, will support normal production activities as required and will be responsible rework of units/cards. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of commitment to both quality and production goals. They will have experience working in a similar role and have a good knowledge of assembly functions.
Rework of components for Repair Centre PCB failures
Support Repair centre on Track and Pad repairs and general component replacement
Removal and replacement of PTH components
Removal and replacement of SMT parts. Use of repair station. Use of station for de-soldering
Perform assembly of PCB’s and some mechanical hardware to formal assembly procedures, process procedures and assembly drawings
Prototype work under engineering control
Prepare components for manual insertion
Operator board cleaning and baking equipment
Use Torque tools for assembly of specific fasteners
Completion of all necessary production related documentation
Extensive knowledge of IPC7711/IPC7721 and IPC J-Standard and application
2-3 years relevant experience in a similar role
