Quality Systems & Compliance Professional

Our client, a global healthcare leader is keen to hire a Quality Systems & Compliance Professional to join their team in Sligo on an initial 12month contract. As Quality Systems and Compliance Professional, you will be reporting to the Quality Systems Manager within the International Third-Party Manufacturing Division. The role will have responsibility for the continuous improvement and execution of the quality system while maintaining compliance with all applicable quality system standards and regulations.

As a Quality Systems & Compliance Professional, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Provide metrics for management review meetings, monthly reports etc. Provide recommendations for improvement based on interpretation of data.  

  • Using Quality Planning tools, lead and deliver quality system improvements and projects as assigned locally or from Global teams. Track and report both financial and compliance progress to management and the project team leader. 

  • Using problem solving tools, conduct and support investigations as they arise from product complaints or other sources from the quality system ensuring root cause is determined and appropriate CAPA actions implemented.

  • Ensure compliance of quality system documents including, but not limited to Non-Conformances, Deviations and Quality Assessments, to division and global policies and procedures using established tools including Rubric.

  • Ensure quality systems are in a continuous state of Audit Readiness by routinely challenging established processes. Utilise Risk Assessments and Quality Plans to support any remediation activities required.

  • Act as a designee for the Quality Systems Manager.

  • Ensure Environmental Health & Safety procedures are adhered to.

Ideal background:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Quality, Science, or Food related discipline. 

  • A minimum of 5 years relevant work experience at least 2 of which is in a regulated manufacturing environment.

  • Excellent understanding of GMP with previous experience in a Quality Operations role a distinct advantage.

  • Previous experience in the use of Trackwise is a distinct advantage.  

  • Innovative and Continuous Improvement mindset. The position impacts directly on product quality and thus the financial and regulatory exposure of decisions could be significant.

  • The position has scope for decision making within the confines of agreed responsibilities. Activities broadly defined by agreed goals.
