Excellent opportunity for a Quality Engineer II to join a global Medical Device company in Galway on a 12 month contract. The Quality Engineer II will report to Quality Lead and will be responsible for supporting Product Development Projects focusing on design assurance. 

Overview of your responsibilities (full job description available on request)
  • Act as the Design Assurance representative on Product Development Projects, partnering closely with the Quality Lead.
  • Prepare and review test method validation, design verification, and shelf-life protocols and reports.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product design best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure compliance throughout product design, development, transfer, and commercialisation activities.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support project objectives.
  • Provide Quality input for new product development, process improvements, and change control activities.
  • Support cross-functional teams in developing protocols to evaluate and test new or modified products against applicable standards.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required for the Role:
  • Bachelor’s degree (Level 8 NFQ) in Engineering, Science, or a related discipline, with 2+ years’ relevant experience.
  • Proven ability to work independently on moderately complex projects with minimal supervision.
  • Strong team player with experience collaborating across cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in medical device product design.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder influencing skills.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
