QC Manager required for a leading multinational healthcare organisation in Cork. Reporting to the Director – Quality Operations, the QC Manager will be responsible for managing the full QC function.
Overview of Main Responsibilities (full job description available on request):
To take overall responsibility for delivering the QC functional goals.
Ensuring systems are in place so that QC testing and activities are carried out in compliance with product licence commitments, cGMP, and Quality standards.
Defining Quality Control Policies, in consultation with QA and regulatory guidelines.
To manage and coordinate the QC People Team Leaders to deliver the objectives and mandate of the department.
Anticipating and plan for future requirements in the area, including such aspects as procedural requirements, capital planning, personnel recruitment, compliance requirements, efficiency developments and anticipated changes needed to reflect future demand for services from the departments and reflecting these in a timely way in the area budgeting process.
Responsible for training and developing people to apply best practice in QC techniques and systems.
Ability to create and sustain an environment of learning and development within the department through succession planning and coaching.
What the ideal candidate looks like:
Primary degree in Science is essential supported by a sound technical background in either chemistry or microbiology. A post-graduate qualification is desirable.
Substantial experience in the Pharmaceutical industry.
Previous experience managing and developing teams.
