Responsibilities: 

  • Work to the highest quality standards ensuring compliance accreditation with all relevant standards and approvals bodies
  • Perform applicable analytical tests on raw ingredients, in-process and finished products
  • Prepare testing schedules, equipment calibrations, general maintenance and upkeep of laboratory
  • Monitoring and validation of HACCP and all quality check points
  • Collate and compile data to assist with continuous improvement and customer service levels
  • Provides technical assistance to the operations and commercial team
  • Supervision of laboratory personnel with focus on overall lab safety & efficiency
  • Oversee site hygiene standards
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines
  • Provide timely analysis of forage types and soil to support the sustainability of our customers

Requirements: 

  • A third level degree in Science with significant experience in quality assurance
  • A good understanding of nutrition and farm inputs would be a distinct advantage
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong IT skills with thorough knowledge of the Microsoft Office package
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills to conduct presentations & facilitate site tours
