Our client, a global healthcare leader who specialises in life-changing technologies is currently recruiting for a QA Lab Technician in Cavan. This is a temporary 12-month contract and will involve working a day shift.

Responsibilities

As a Science Graduate, you will be responsible for:

  • Co-ordinate assigned projects in the QA lab Department, maintaining close liaison with managers in other departments with the aim of improving production efficiencies by means of a team approach
  • Participate in developing project schedules, validation plans and selecting materials, equipment, project staff, and external contractors. You will be part of a team that is responsible for laboratory projects relating to continuous improvement, business continuity and compliance
  • Completion of necessary validation documentation and assist in the execution of validation activities
  • Activities include installation, qualification and validation of laboratory equipment, software, and test methods within the Quality Assurance Department
  • Communicate changes in project schedules to key stakeholders and projects team
  • Ensure all project validation activities are compliant with site and Division policy
  • Responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives in a highly automated process environment and ensuring all new equipment is validated as per QA procedures

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in food science / Food Engineering or equivalent scientific discipline, or an equivalent qualification
  • Experience in a food manufacturing industry
  • Understanding of importance of compliance and quality standards
  • Understanding of Validation & experience of preparing and completing validation documentation
  • Good working knowledge of word and excel
