An exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Engineer to join a leading medical device manufacturer based in Cork on a fixed-term contract (12-18 months). This multinational company is a market leader in its field and has been based in Cork since 1998 with this role becoming available due to expansion taking place on-site.
Manage the execution of complex custom automation projects developed by external vendors.
Project manage the day to day requirements in terms of cost and timeline driving the project to a successful completion; on time and within budget.
Manage all stakeholders in manufacturing, R&D, Process Development and Quality.
Develop a thorough understanding of the existing manual manufacturing process, the product functionality, the acceptance standards, what’s critical to quality and the customer.
Actively drive the cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and to required quality standards.
Provide technical support and make informed decisions on hardware and software.
Generate documentation for the detailed specification, participate, critique and sign off on design reviews.
Develop documentation for the FAT & SAT testing of the new equipment ensuring it complies with Boston Scientific standards Equipment Standards, Safety Standards.
Oversee and deliver automated equipment that will be robust during the lifecycle of the equipment.
Degree in automation/mechanical engineering or related discipline and at least 3 years relevant experience
Strong knowledge of automation systems and an ability to critique vendor designs, identify short comings and propose alternatives where applicable.

Experience in the Project Management of New Equipment Introduction Projects is a distinct advantage.
