Excellent opportunity for a Project Engineer to join an innovative Engineering Firm for the Food Industry. The role can be located in Ireland (Sligo) or the UK (Cambridge) and will report to the Project Team Manager. The Project Engineer will ideally have a manufacturing background and extensive experience with SolidWorks, electrical & pneumatic controls. Having experience in the Food Industry and sheet metal fabrication will be an advantage.
Overview of your responsibilities (full job description available on request):
Represent company professionally in customer meetings.
Create layout drawings for optimal solutions, adding value and defining clear supply scope.
Perform risk assessments for all proposals.
Take ownership of projects from layout to final customer approval.
Collaborate with Sales Team to generate additional revenue from items beyond the original scope.
Coordinate with Design Engineers to produce SolidWorks models/drawings, ensuring compliance with legislation and customer expectations.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required for the Role:
Minimum qualification in Mechanical/Industrial engineering.
3+ years' experience in a similar role in manufacturing.
Proficient in SolidWorks.
Familiarity with electrical and pneumatic controls.
Advantageous: Experience in sheet metal fabrication.
Advantageous: Experience in the food industry.
Advantageous: Hands-on engineering experience.
