Overview:
Our client is a leading manufacturer and producer in the food industry in Ireland. They are looking to hire a Production Supervisor to join their team in Westmeath. Reporting to Senior Management you will be responsible for leading, motivating and inspiring your team to meet targets & KPIs.
People management is an essential part of this job so having prior experience leading a team and driving performance is essential.
Responsibilities:
Build meaningful relationship with key stakeholders to production.
Develop robust development plans for TLs and ensure they are adhered to.
Monitor staff breaks, holidays, performance and absenteeism
Ensure all team members have completed the necessary statutory training, including skills-based training on the floor.
Maintain adequate headcount levels, liaising with Human Resources to ensure new hires have an exceptional people experience throughout their employment life cycle.
Understand your role in ensuring health and safety is paramount and creating a safe environment for our colleagues.
Always maintain the highest level of food quality and hygiene standards. Ensuring you are 7s compliant.
Management of production performance, to include plan attainment, yield, productivity, and efficiencies.
Requirements:
A degree in Food Science, Agricultural science, or other related discipline
Passionate about food and people
Excellent communications skills and proficiency in English
Previous supervisory experience, managing a large team
Previous experience working in an FMCG, food production environment.
