As the Product Owner Controller Software, you will be responsible for the delivery of the software configuration and programming platform for the PSS4000 family of PLC devices.  You will be working with up to 4 SCRUM teams and will closely align with other Product Owners as well as with the European specification team in who are responsible for the device firmware.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Providing Industry, Product and End-User expertise to the development team
  • Creating and implementing the software product road-map and release planning
  • Creating and prioritising the software product backlog ensuring critical and high value users stories are implemented in each release
  • Decomposing high-level requirements into workflows, stories, epics and themes so they can be clearly understood by the development teams
  • Working with the development team to drive usability of the product via brain storming design meetings, usability testing and prototypes
  • Collaborating and working closely with the Hardware/System Product Managers

Skills Experience and Qualifications:

  • 3+yrs Professional Product Owner or Product Management experience in a high-tech industry
  • Professional Scrum Product Owner Certification PSPO I 
  • Knowledge of the industrial automation business domain and automation engineering lifecycle including customer applications and workflows.
  • Specifically, you will have in-depth knowledge and experience of the following:
  • Safe and standard PLC engineering tools and systems
  • IEC-61131-3 standard PLC programming languages and editors
  • Network configuration protocols and graphical editors for e.g. ModBUS, PROFINET, Ethernet IP
  • Motion Control Systems
  • Visualisation software, Human Machine Interface systems / SCADA systems
  • Application of IEC-61508 Safety standard
  • Knowledge of SDLC methodologies and experience working with Agile & Lean development practices such as Scrum
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
