Our client, a Global Healthcare leader is keen to hire a Procurement Specialist to join their team in Sligo.
This role is responsible for the material requirements planning, purchase order management and Inventory management to ensure customers requests are actioned within the time schedule requested in accordance with the company’s budget, policies and procedures.
As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for the following: (full spec available on request)
Monitor and control purchasing activities to ensure compliance with company policies, and procedures and within budget limits
Maintain accurate inventory and non-inventory transactions
Establish good vendor relations with all suppliers
Generate Purchase Requisition’s as necessary
Ensure P.O’s are issued on a timely basis to suppliers and that all suppliers deliver goods in accordance with the company’s terms and conditions
Maintain close liaison and co-operation with all other departments, affiliates and personnel who are associated with the materials/production operation in order to optimize the plants operations
Ensure all goods are received/dispatched in line with company QA policies and procedures
Maintain high standards in housekeeping GMP and safety
Minimize Lot Ends
Liaise with Quality assurance to ensure that raw materials and packaging are tested and released within agreed time scale
Requirements
Appropriate qualification in either Purchasing/Productions Planning e.g. Diploma in Purchasing or relevant APICS (American Production and Inventory Control Society) examinations
Relevant Purchasing experience
At least one years’ experience in purchasing/production planning in a manufacturing company. Preferably previous experience with purchasing/planning short-shelf life products
