Process Technician

Role and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Process Technician will be responsible for the development and optimisation of the plant equipment.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Implementing process changes to ensure the efficient running of the line

  • Troubleshooting processing issues and documenting corrective actions

  • Playing a key role in the development of the manufacturing systems

  • Leading on continuous improvement initiatives

  • Proactively identifying operational improvement opportunities or process related issues including escalation & follow up with Production Manager and Engineering team

  • Ensuring production operators are competently trained on processing procedures and changes

  • Being a champion for safe working practices

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Ideally, hold a Level 6 qualification in Polymer Technologies

  • Experience working with injection moulding or extrusion

Candidate Qualities/Attributes

Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision making skills. Detail and goal-oriented, has the flexibility to deal with multiple and changing priorities while focussed delivering reliable and efficient production standards. Ability to manage own time and workload, juggling conflicting priorities.

These positions will follow a 4-Cycle shift pattern.
