Our client, a leading global healthcare company is recruiting a Process Support Technician in Cavan on an initial six-month contract. This is a Weekend shift position totalling 36hours.
Responsibilities of a Process Support Technician:
- Conduct analytical testing across a range of techniques (including, but not limited to LC-MS/MS, HPLC and ICP) to support raw material analysis, in-process testing and finished product testing.
- Develop, evaluate and verify analytical test methods across a range of techniques (including LC-MS/MS, HPLC and ICP) as required.
- Contribute to and/or lead troubleshooting and investigation of analytical issues using quality tools.
- Provide analytical support in the technical transfer of analytical methods into the Analytical Laboratory.
- Support and/or co-ordinate equipment installation and validation activities as required by project demands.
- Contribute to the Analytical Laboratory continuous improvement initiatives.
Ideal background:
- A BSc in analytical chemistry or equivalent scientific discipline (with significant analytical focus) combined with 2 years’ experience within an analytical role; or BSc in a degree with significant analytical focus plus 2+ years’ experience within an analytical role.
- Practical experience in a range of analytical techniques including, but not limited to LC-MS/MS, HPLC and ICP. Experience in using LC-MS/MS is essential.
- Extensive knowledge and experience of analytical principles and procedures, method development, method validation and method transfers.
- Strong understanding of compliance and quality standards.
- Proven ability to plan and work independently. Candidate must be able to work under a high-pressured production environment.
