A global medical products company is keen to hire a Process Project Engineer to join their growing team in Mayo. The Process Project Engineer will be responsible for leading a team of project engineers and providing project guidance.

The Process Project Engineer will have oversight of overall process development and will lead and coordinate the project engineering activities associated with the further development of manufacturing capacity.

Responsibilities (Full job description available on request):

  • Timely implementation of new manufacturing processes.
  • Developing & tracking project plans, and formally communicating same.
  • Responsible for overseeing the development of a concept for fully automated manufacturing systems, working with a technology partner, completing a proof of principle by prototyping key bottleneck areas, and developing a high-level concept that meets customer requirements.
  • Identifying and implementing process & product improvements in the area.
  • Support timely introduction on any new products or product upgrades.
  • Support qualification of new products/processes, and ensure compliance to quality standards through execution of protocols.
  • Responsible for ensuring safety compliance in the area, and supporting both conduction and timely closeout of risk assessments.

Ideal background:                                  

  • Primary Degree in Engineering (Masters preferred).
  • 5+ years post qualification experience in general project engineering, with a focus on mechanical systems & their application in a manufacturing environment is desirable.
  • 1yrs+ of Project Management experience.
  • Project Management Training/Qualification.
  • Machine Design Experience.
  • ASQ Green/Black Belt Certification.
  • Strong leadership skills and business acumen.
  • Experienced in Project Management and Process Development.
