Our client, a leader in the nutrition industry, is currently seeking motivated and reliable Process Operators to join their manufacturing team in Cootehill, Co. Cavan.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly regulated production environment focused on quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
General Duties
- Follow all Health & Safety rules and regulations within the plant environment
- Report any hazards, risks, or deviations immediately to the Shift Coordinator or Shift Manager
- Adhere to all SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) relevant to assigned tasks
- Maintain high housekeeping standards in line with housekeeping procedures
- Ensure compliance with cGMP standards at all times
- Complete all required documentation accurately and in accordance with company procedures
- Carry out basic preventative maintenance as scheduled
- Monitor environmental conditions within the process area and respond appropriately to spills or overflows
- Support process operations across multiple areas when required
- Maintain strong working relationships with QA and other departments
- Participate in CAPA investigations, continuous improvement initiatives, and operational change programs
- Assist with training and knowledge transfer to new operators
- Print and manage required production documentation from Teamcenter
- Carry out non-routine tasks as directed by management
Area Specific Responsibilities – Milk/Oil Intake
- Report specification deviations to the Shift Manager
- Perform manual cleaning and area walkdowns
- Conduct CIP (Clean-In-Place) procedures for milk tankers and associated equipment
- Complete cleaning schedules and maintain CIP logs
- Ensure all milk deliveries include a Certificate of Analysis
- Confirm oil deliveries are QA-approved prior to receipt
- Pump and transfer milk/oil deliveries following release
- Update and maintain the MCS system
- Monitor vendor tanker conditions and report faults
- Carry out tanker sampling where required
- Coordinate with production and shift management regarding storage allocation
- Troubleshoot process faults and ensure corrective actions are completed
Requirements
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, food production, pharmaceutical, or process environment preferred
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety and GMP practices
- Good attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced shift environment
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing operational requirements
