We are working with one of Ireland’s leading manufacturers of timber frame homes and roof structures whose clients range from Private Individuals to the most prestigious national building and construction companies.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to hire a Plant Manager to join their team in Longford.

The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge and experience as a Plant Manager with a proven track record in good manufacturing practice and lean principles.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop the Production Plan to maximise the return to the business from the Timberframe process, working closely with design and site quality functions.

  • Work closely with the SHEQ Manager to ensure appropriate policies, procedures, staff, and processes meet the safety, health environment, and quality assurance standards.

  • Monitor the production performance of the site against the budget through a set of agreed KPIs.

  • Drive standardisation of approaches, practices, and reporting across the business through a culture of continuous improvements.

  • Establish a regular pattern of Production meetings within the Timberframe business to ensure the delivery of the production plan.

  • Lead and support the people agenda on-site from a recruitment, onboarding, development, and employee engagement perspective in conjunction with HR.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 Years experience in a Plant/Site Management role is essential; Timberframe or Modular building experience is an advantage.

  • Qualification in Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, or related field or equivalent knowledge and experience.

  • Very strong organisation skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong Communication skills with the ability to build trusted relationships.

  • Knowledge and experience to promote a safe working environment and ensure compliance with appropriate regulatory standards.
