Job Summary/Overview:
Develop daily/weekly production schedules to ensure that production deadlines are met. Determine material, equipment and labour requirements, prepare status and performance reports, and resolve production issues.
Main Duties:
- Create, modify and manage production schedules
- Monitor stock levels
- Regularly provide production status updates to management
- Facilitate the timely delivery of products to customers
- Closely monitor the production process to ensure production orders are completed on time and within budget
- Work closely with logistics to ensure timely deliveries and despatch of materials
- Provide purchasing department with accurate production forecast to allow timely supply of materials, ingredients, packaging etc
- Work closely with Farms dept to accurately plan livestock requirements to fulfil orders
- Communicate production/agricultural capabilities to management and sales dept to reliably accept and fulfil orders
Main Responsibilities:
- Evaluate orders to create suitable production schedules
- Communicating the amount of material, equipment, and labour required for production
- Promptly addressing and resolving production issues to minimise delays
- Coordinating production operations in accordance with material, labour, and equipment availability
- Recommending viable solutions to reduce production costs as well as improve production processes and product quality
- Compiling status and performance reports and submitting them to management
- Promptly informing the relevant departments of changes to current production schedules
