The Role:

My client, a well known Irish brand based in Co. Longford, is seeking to hire an Accounts Assistant to join their Finance Team on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will be required to work approx. 20 hours per week. The primary function of the Accounts Assistant will be to ensure weekly and period end deadlines are met at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Intercompany Reconciliations
  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Creditor Reconciliations
  • Debtor Reconciliations
  • Posting period end journals
  • Preparation of supporting schedules for Period End Management Accounts
  • VAT returns
  • Heavy use of MS Excel to manipulate data e.g. Pivots, VLookups
  • Attendance at 4-weekly inventory counts
  • Ad-hoc general duties as required by your manager

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • A polite, friendly, efficient and helpful manner
  • Strong numerical & IT Skills
  • Proficient computer skills – word, excel and e-mail
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to meet deadlines
