We have a new opening with our Public Sector client for an Oracle Developer. This position will be working within their Financial Information Services team. The person will be responsible for the ongoing development, maintenance, and improvement of the suite of reports from Oracle which have been assigned to them. This technical role is critical to the to meet the our reporting requirements and increasing need for accurate timely financial data to support the strategic decision-making process at executive level.
Analysis of user reporting requirements and creation of functional and technical design specifications.
Technical design of reports and queries in consultation with end users and the FIS team.
Development and testing of required reports, queries, and data extractions from the new EBusiness Suite.
Support and monitor the reporting aspects of the system, managing issues encountered until resolution.
Production of testing plans as required.
Technical liason on the Oracle suite of reports to which they are assigned (BI or ETL) and also across the Oracle platform as a whole and as required.
Owner on specific development on behalf of the FIS team, working with the managed Service partner and stakeholders.
Testing of developed software, enhancements and bug fixes.
Production and maintenance of required technical documentation and specifications.
Developing required development/integration environments and testing configuration of the systems.
Development of interfaces between the E-Business suite and existing systems.
Integration of new applications with the new E-Business Suite and supporting the existing integration aspects of the system.
Working closely with the FIS Team to achieve the technical objectives of the team in relation to ongoing system development, configuration and reporting.
Candidates must have:
• 3rd level degree in IT
• At least three to five years’ relevant post-qualification experience, in an Oracle development environment, with Oracle EBS/Oracle OBIA/OBIE experience.
Knowledge and Experience:
Technical knowledge and experience in the design and development of Oracle-based systems and in using the Oracle environment and tools.
Experience of the Oracle E-Business Suite of applications, including Oracle EBS and the data structures within Oracle, and the Data warehouse in the Oracle reporting suite.
Strong technical knowledge and experience in the design and development of reports and reporting environments using Oracle reporting tool, BI tools and ETL adaptors.
An understanding of data structures, their inter-relationships and dependencies, and how and from where this data is sourced.
Experience of both Windows Server and Oracle Linux environments.
Knowledge and experience of formal systems development methods, particularly in the Oracle development environment.
Exposure to formal project management methods.
Knowledge of and experience in some or all of the following Oracle systems
Oracle E-Business Suite
o Oracle BI
o Oracle OBIEE
o Oracle Analytics Cloud
o ETL (ODI)
This position will be initially a 3 year Fixed term contract. For this position you will be entitled to qualify for Pension contribution and 28 days annual leave. You will also be eligible for Education assistance.
