My client, a busy manufacturing company based in Westmeath is looking to hire an Operations Team Leader to join their production team. Ideally they are looking for someone who has a 3rd level qualification in Engineering, have experience working in moulding environment and someone who has supervisory or people management experience in a similar environment. Must be available to work shift.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and communicate the daily production work load, delegating duties to relevant people.
  • Supervise to ensure adherence to safety and operating procedures, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and Line Clearance
  • Troubleshoot on blow moulding and injection moulding machine processes as required and on automation and downstream equipment. 
  • Verify all applicable paperwork associated with batch records are properly completed in line with cGMP
  • Liaise with Engineering and Quality to resolve issues and reduce downtime. 
  • Feedback and report production and machine metrics and relevant issues to the Production Manager. 
  • Complete work to close out CAPAs and Change Controls as may be required & manage NCR process in conjunction with QA Technicians. 
  • Report production and quality metrics at the end of the shift and daily production meeting
  • Continually review production methods/operating procedures with a view to improving efficiency, quality and visual management 
  • Ensure employees receive appropriate training
  • Effectively manage holidays, absence & timekeeping and provide feedback to employees on performance
  • Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained to the highest standard

Requirements:

  • Have a relevant 3rd level qualification in Engineering or a related field
  • Must have experience in moulding environment (injection or blow moulding) preferred
  • Must have people management experience from a similar environment, must have conducted performance reviews
  • Strong attention to detail with structured approach to planning & organising 
  • Be able to work on own initiative and priorities work as required
  • Have excellent communication skills
