My client, a leading healthcare company, based in Tullamore is looking to hire an Operations Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will be a driven and ambitious candidate. There is the potential for the successful candidate to progress within the company.
The Operations Manager will report into the Operations Director and will be responsible for leading and managing the operational performance of the warehouse, logistics and customer service departments of our client's business, ensuring the successful delivery of customer requirements along with participating as part of their management team into the effective running of the business.

- Responsible for management of all warehouse, logistics & customer service activities across our business including:
- Warehouse Activity Management
- Logistics and Distribution Management
- Capacity planning to meet our customer demands
- Managing operations processes, developing new process design, planning, control, performance improvement and operations strategy.
- Communication with Customer Service on a daily basis
- Manage the teams to ensure operations practices are maintained in accordance with new or changing environmental policies, standards, regulations, or laws
- Ensure personnel working within the Operations Teams conform to company SOPs, Specifications, and Regulatory requirements
- Manage any complaints/issues/non-conformances, ensuring such instances are rectified and closed out in a timely and professional manner.
- Analyze the capacity of resources including equipment and labour to ensure products are dispatched in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Overall management of the Operations Team to ensure there is an inherent drive for continuous improvement in all areas including:
- Continuous development & improvement of warehouse operations systems
- Operating costs
- Stock control and order processing
- Warehouse & Distribution performance
- Activity Forecasting; product handling, storage and distribution requirements
- Change management
- Quality audit readiness
Requirements:
- Must have experience in a similar senior operations role
- Must have a 3rd-level qualification in a relevant discipline
- Must have experience managing sizeable departments in warehousing, logistics, and customer service operations
- Must be an excellent team player but also have the ability to work on their own initiative
- Must have excellent communication, time management and problem-solving skills
