Operations Integration Manager

The Role is highly focused on logistics process mapping, improvement and optimization and on logistics network transformation. The person will need to operate well in conjunction with the CLS Operations organization, Customer service, Transportation and Quality in order to review, redesign, correct and transform the main logistics processes.

The person will bring expertise on best-in-class logistics processes and will implement Logistics standards having a leading role in projects aimed to improve distribution operations managed by Logistics Service Providers, enhancing efficiency and compliance and maximizing the value for the customer.

This will imply the working across global and regional cross-functional teams and the ability to define and track indicators to monitor performance, measure changes and support decision making.   

More specifically this person will:

  • Collect data and information in order to map and review current processes (this can include extracting data from systems or measuring cycle times for the steps of the processes)
  • Identify Value added steps versus no Value added steps and wastes
  • Conduct analysis and elaborate business cases to support process optimization and business requests
  • Identify best practices and deploy them across the organization
  • Have leading roles in transformational projects (warehouses consolidation or moves) and in Warehouse Management System enhancements initiatives;
  • Interact effectively with the rest of the Organization, with an end to end approach, to ensure integration among the functional area and that all requirements are met
  • Interact with other critical functions (QA/HR) to ensure compliance
  • Elaborate financial analysis to be validated by the Finance to ensure profitability of the initiatives
  • Contribute to develop or optimize VAS
  • Prioritize and manage multiple complex simultaneous tasks and projects.

Principle responsibilities and functions 

35% – Network optimization

  • Map the existing network and the relative operational processes
  • Collect Customer Requirements
  • Identify solutions to increase compliance, efficiency and effectiveness of the network
  • Drive the change and ensure a smooth move to the end state design
  • Support the implementation of the appropriate technology required

25% – Warehouse Management System enhancement

  • Analyze the gap and weaknesses in the existing technology, identify the opportunities and design the new system setup and the associated operational processes
  • Interact with IT and support as SME during the development of the technical enhancements
  • Lead and coordinate testing
  • Define and execute the go-live plan ensuring business continuity and no impact to the customer

 20% – Operational Processes/Procedures Harmonization and Optimization

  • Identify gaps between existing operational processes and  standards and lead Logistics Service Providers through improvement actions
  • Support regional and global projects aimed to introduce and implement best-in-class processes (ex JJOS, CPI, LEAN etc.)
  • Identify initiatives to pursue opportunities in the areas of Customer Value, Cost effectiveness, Capability enhancement and Compliance support.

10% – Support Quality Remediation

  • Support CLS functions (ex. Quality, Safety etc.) in auditing processes and procedures currently adopted by Logistics Service Providers
  • Support CLS functions (ex Quality, Safety etc.) in the execution of Remediation Plans and corrective actions with the Logistics Service Provider

10% – Other Logistics activities

  • Support analysis and network reviews to implement logistics for different go-to market models
  • Support financial processes and improve strategic and performance data consistency, quality and availability.

=============== QUALIFICATIONS ===============

Knowledge and experience

  • University Degree in  Supply Chain or Engineering
  • At least 8 years experience in Logistics Management roles or in Supply Chain Consulting
  • Project Management certification
  • Experience in Network Transformation projects (warehouse consolidations, warehouse moves etc.)
  • Experience in technology enhancement projects related to Warehouse Management Systems and in depth understanding of Sales Order Processing and Information Technology in logistics operations
