We have an exciting opportunity for a Operational Excellence Lead to manage the implementation of the overall OpEx strategic program forA Global Pharmaceutical Manufacturer that focuses on Human Vaccine Discovery, Development and Manufacturing. This is a full time Permanent job based in Dundalk, Co. Louth. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced OpEx Lead to work in a brand new facility, offering great autonomy to the successful person.
Responsibilities:
Management of large, complex cross functional improvement projects and teams, using lean / six sigma tools and methodologies, delivering success in a short timeframe
Manages the implementation of the overall OpEx strategic program, creating a project pipeline and ensures a gated project approval process to ensure projects are aligned with the overall site strategic goals
Facilitate and provide technical support for lean management and operational efficiency CI Projects
Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and budget
Management and develops communication and CI training plans
Delivers training and mentoring for Six Sigma Yellow Belt and Six Sigma Green Belt – providing guidance of tools and templates as necessary
Communicates project status updates and priority challenges
Assists in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
Develops a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress and measure project performance
Compile defined project and site metrics/KPI and report regularly to Senior Leadership, maintaining the portfolio of continuous improvement projects and initiatives
Qualifying Criteria:
BSc/MSc in a science or engineering related discipline
Black-Belt level lean and six sigma qualification(s)
5-10 Yrs Operational Experience within the Biopharma/pharma industry
2-3 yrs of Operational Excellence Experience
A thorough understanding of GMP supply, manufacturing, and testing processes
Experience leading cross functional teams
Demonstrated experience in Value Stream Mapping (VSM) projects.
