Our client a global healthcare leader, is seeking to recruit an Occupational Health Advisor to join their team. This is a full-time, permanent position based in Cootehill, Cavan.
As an Occupational Health Advisor, your responsibilities will include:
Conduct pre-employment medicals of all potential employees. Liaise with Occupational Health Physician regarding any out of range results
Planning and implementing Occupational Health Programmes
Plan Health Surveillance for all employees as per Global Occupational Health Guidelines
Organises and delivers training to support Occupational First-aiders and mental health champions
Documentation of all who attend Occupational Health Department for work-related or non-work issues
Conduct DSE Assessment of workstations and co-ordinate the necessary ergonomic controls.
Risk assessment of workstation for pregnant employees and others as requested by the business.
Conduct a weekly review of absenteeism, following up with employees and Managers
Liaise with Health and Safety regarding accident and incident investigation, and involvement / awareness of corrective action

Requirements
Must be a Registered Nurse with up-to-date NMBI registration
Recognised Occupational Health qualification
At least 3 years’ experience in an Occupational Health setting
Familiar with Occupational Health practices, policies, and procedures, return to work, absence management and immunisations
Competent in the use of IT programmes and databases
