Our client, a large multi-purpose cooperative, is seeking to hire an NPD Food Technologist to join their team in Roscommon. This is a full-time permanent role. Reporting to the Group Technical Manager, this newly created role is an excellent opportunity for a NPD Lead looking to make that next career step or an experienced Food Technologist seeking a new and exciting challenge.
Major Responsibilities (Full job description available on request):
- Own the development life cycle and responsibility for managing technical risks throughout projects.
- Provide technical direction for the development, design, and systems integration for customer engagement from definition phase through to implementation.
- Work alongside the leadership teams in the preparation and development of samples for customers.
- Assist in the formulation of new products and assist in the development of new processes to aid efficiencies and to effectively manage this process through the stage gate process from concept to final delivery.
- To be on hand for trials, following the product from concept to launch.
- Build relationships with current and new suppliers.
- Deliver new product presentations to Customers.
- Manage customer interaction and expectations regarding new product development projects.
Ideal background:
- 3 years industry experience in the food / beverage / dairy area.
- 3rd level qualification – Science/Food Business/Engineering.
- Demonstrated leadership and change management skills with a continuous improvement focus.
- Strong process experience with significant evidence of co-ordination, management and delivery of R&D projects. and programmes on time and to a high standard, effectively using all available resources.
- Innovative mindset, with high attention to detail.
