We are partnering with a leading engineering solutions firm, who are looking to hire an MV Electrical Engineering Lead. This is a full-time position that will be based in a leading pharmaceutical company in Cork. In this role, you will work with clients to identify large-scale opportunities to deploy renewable energy technologies at their facilities, and you will identify the MV electrical works required to upgrade and integrate such technology into their facility. Overview of Main Responsibilities (full job description available on request):
- Identifying potential opportunities for the deployment of wind turbines and ground mounted solar PV installations at client sites.
- Determining processes which could be shifted from gas to electrical energy.
- Undertaking preliminary MV electrical designs to determine practical, cost-effective solutions.
- Engaging and managing civil and other consultants required for the project.
- Providing the client with the technical assistance for their internal approval process.
- Ensuring seamless handover of project to Operations team for construction.
- Ensuring Mainline commitments are delivered on time and within budget.
What the ideal MV Electrical Engineering Lead looks like:
- A primary degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Suitable similar experience is desirable.
- Previous experience of MV/HV electrical infrastructure within process / pharmaceutical environments.
- Previous experience with grid connections and renewable energy is an advantage.
- Strong IT skills with Microsoft Office packages, including diagnostic skills, and familiarity with Auto-CAD or similar is preferred.
