Excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Technician to join a global medical devices company in Sligo. The ideal candidate will have a medical devices background.
Overview of your responsibilities (full job description available on request)
Core team member addressing equipment, yield, and process issues, implementing CAPA's.
Responsible for setting up molding tools and assembly equipment.
Collaborates with Production and Engineering Departments to troubleshoot and enhance production.
Manages critical spares inventory to minimize downtime.
Supports Engineering in exploring and implementing new production methods.
Conducts equipment/process qualifications and validations, including report writing.
Assists in developing and implementing preventative maintenance procedures.
Raises concerns about environmental impact, health, or safety issues to the Manager.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required for the Role:
Level 6 qualification or 5 years of experience in the relevant field.
Preferably experienced in Medical Device Manufacturing.
Strong technical skills and initiative.
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
High teamwork and engagement; capable of independent work.
Excellent written and verbal communication, maintaining confidentiality.
Strong attention to detail, with numerical and problem-solving abilities.
