Our Client is Ireland's Leading premier container terminal based in Ringsed Dublin. They are currently looking to hire a Mechancial Fitter to join their site based in Dublin.
The successful candidate will be working within a well-established Maintenance Team across a rolling shift pattern to carry out reactive maintenance efficiently, effectively, and safely.
Job Responsibilities:
- Complete planned and reactive maintenance work in an effective and safe manner
- Carry out hands-on maintenance work on mechanical and electrical plant, machinery and equipment
- Carry out fabrication work
- Operate plant and machinery as required.
- Deliver a safe personal working culture.
- Complete the workload as stipulated by the Maintenance Manager.
- Attend to unplanned failures in a timely manner to meet reliability targets.
- Complete work orders via SAP tablet based Safety Culture system to complete work activity and relevant documentation.
- Report parts and materials deficits via SAP without delay.
- Suggest tactical decisions to the Maintenance manager to stay on schedule.
- Demonstrate commitment to multi-skilled activity where appropriate.
- Notify Engineer Manager/Team Leader of all operational issues affecting delivery to plan without delay.
- Required to plan own work to minimise time lost.
- Communicate accurate information to the Maintenance manager.
- Foster good relationships with internal stakeholders, in particular the Operations Team.
Job Requirements:
- Time Served of relevant Mechanical experience in a heavy industrial environment
- National Trade Craft Certificate essential.
- An assertive individual who demonstrates a willingness to progress within the company.
- Demonstrated commitment to maintaining Health and Safety standards.
- Ability to work at Heights.
- A strong understanding of motors and hydraulics
- Excellent fault-finding skills and the ability to use fault-finding diagnostic equipment.
